Welcome to the Trinity Kids Blog!

Welcome to the new Trinity Kids blog! At Trinity Kids, our mission is to bring Jesus to kids and to bring kids to Jesus. The gospel is central in what we do. Children, as well as adults, need to know the saving love of Jesus Christ (Rom 3:23; Rom 6:23). But, Scripture is clear that the primary responsibility for Christian growth and nurture lies within the family (Deut 6:6-8; Prov 1:8-9; Eph 6:4). As a children’s ministry, we want to come alongside parents and support parents as they teach their children about the Lord.

Therefore, we also desire to be a family-equipping ministry. We want to train and equip parents to engage spiritually with their children. We want keep parents informed and involved about the happenings of Trinity Kids. Hence, this blog!

Family Devotions for Early Childhood, Sunday Nov 6: Cain and Abel

Bible Text: Genesis 4:1-26

Read with Me Bible Reference: Pages 20-23

Key Point of Passage: Cain chose to do the wrong thing when he was angry and killed his brother, but God made it right again.

Memory Verse: God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1).

Questions for Discussion:

1)      What offering did Abel bring to God, and when did he bring it?

2)      What about Cain? How much did he bring and when did he bring it to God?

3)      Why was Cain angry?

4)      What did God tell Cain to do to feel better? What did Cain do instead?

5)      When we are angry, should we hurt other people, or should we listen to God and do the right thing?

6)      What did God do to help make things right after Cain killed Abel?
